Join First2Board in Charleston, SC from September 6-8 for the Charleston City Sessions!
The sessions will begin Friday night at 6:30pm with a cocktail reception.
Saturday will consist of hearing from several industry insiders including Nils Haupt, the Director of Corporate Communications for the Americas of Lufthansa, lunch, and a Charleston City Tour with behind the scenes access to popular Charleston sites. For dinner you can choose to go off on your own or join First2Board at one of two restaurants in downtown Charleston. Dinner can be followed by option of a Ghost Tour or Pub Crawl (or whatever else you’d like on your own!)… I’m definitely planning on the Pub Crawl 🙂
Sunday morning you can enjoy a walking tour of Historic Charleston and then join The Mr. Pickles and The Frugal Travel Guy to hear about new and exciting opportunities in the world of travel over lunch at Eli’s. Lunch will conclude at 2pm so everyone can make late afternoon flights home.
Agenda subject to change.

I am definitely going to Charleston for the City Sessions, but I don’t know how I am getting there yet. I usually fly from DTW or FNT and I can’t leave earlier than noon from work on Thursday. So far the best I have been able to find it $384 on Delta (DTW-CHS)… and that’s steep. And I also haven’t been able to find any good award availability. I’m not opposed to renting a car and driving up to 2 hours to Charleston, but since I am under 25 that may not be a significantly less expensive option either. Anyone have any tips or tricks for this one to share to get the price down or am I going to have to bit the bullet on this one?
Hertz through USAA, they waive the underage fee. But it’s Hertz, so it will probably be twice as much.
Not too worried about the car rental, I just don’t know how I want to fly there yet. Fares are steep right now (DTW/FNT-CHS) but not really steep enough for me to justify using points.
