Caipirinhas are Brazil’s national cocktail, simply made with only cachaça (sugarcane hard liquor), sugar and lime. One of the highlights of my trip to Brazil was taking a Caipirinha cruise from Paraty – a 3.5 hour drive from Rio.

A Caipirinha cruise is definitely a fun in the sun type of day trip that includes jumping off the boat, soccer on the beach, cliff jumping, and a bunch of new friends.
