Frontier Airlines just sent out an email announcing a new award redemption fee that will go into effect for al flights booked on or after October 31, 2014.
The fee can be avoided by
- applying and being approved for the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard, and using the card to pay for the taxes and fees of the ticket
- qualifying for Ascent or Summit status in 2014
- Achieving Frontier Elite status for 2015
- Booking flights 180 or more days prior to travel

That stinks. You kind of expect it from Frontier who charges for everything but this kind of stuff always galls me. US Airways is the same way
Agreed. At least they don’t charge for water yet like Spirit does….
