NYC can be a pretty challenging place to visit on a budget. Before you know it you've already spent $60 on a cab from the airport and $200 for your first night at the hotel... and you haven't really even done anything yet! But don't worry, it doesn't have to be that expensive of a place to visit. Here are some of my tricks for NYC on a budget.

I'm a huge fan of musicals, so on my recent trip to NYC to meet up with a friend visiting from New Zealand, making a stop on Broadway was a must. We were relatively not picky about the show we wanted to see, because everything that's on Broadway is good. What was more important to us was getting seats at a decent price, and preferably relatively decent seats.

The VIP Sleeper Bus Experience in Cambodia

I needed to get from Siem Reap to Kep, Cambodia. It’s not a common route for people to take; most tourists are either headed to Phnom Penh or Sihanoukville. So, naturally, my bus route was Siem Reap -> Phnom Penh -> Sihanoukville -> Kep. It was meant to be something like a 14 hour bus ride, all combined, with just one bus change in Sihanoukville.
