As most of you know, I embarked on the incredible journey of riding my bicycle across the country this summer. I had thought that I would be able to handle blogging throughout this entire adventure, and that turned out not to be the case. I think that I put in a pretty good effort for the first half of the trip, but when we hit Utah and Nevada, we had many nights where there was no way to access the internet, even with cell service. During this approximately two-week period, I spent a lot more time living in the moment instead of trying to get to the host so that I could work on my blog posts, both for this site and my 4K for Cancer blog. I was able to get a lot more out of the trip in those two weeks alone than I had during the first half of the trip put together. For this reason, I decided that it was important for me to embrace the rest of the bike ride as my top priority, and I am very glad that I did. The last few weeks of the trip are nearly indescribable to anyone who wasn’t there (although I sure would try if any of you have a particular interest!)

After the 4K I went on a short trip to Australia, and I decided that I would begin publishing posts again today. At this time, my plan is to have posts coming out daily, Monday – Friday. Over the next week or so, you will see a final recap of my experience on the 4K for Cancer and some mini-trip reports from my travels in Australia.

Glad to be back!
