This was kind of a spur of the moment decision for me (a few weeks ago). There have been quite a few good United fares lately, and I ended up booking two of them, which will put me at 22,619 total miles for the year on United. Since that is SO close to Silver status, I am going to go for it. I know it’s only silver, but it’s still my first airline status, so it’s exciting! It’s actually semi-convenient to get those last few miles anyway because of some other places I have to get to where flying United will be a very viable option. More to come on that later.
