I’ve always been a sprinter… the sports I played required a ton of energy output for a short period of time and little-to-no endurance. I think from time to time I approach other areas of my life in similar ways. Including blogging.

Those of you who read (or at least notice) my blog on a regular basis may have noticed that I’ve been posting like crazy this week! And it’s true, I have been. Since I am featured on BoardingArea this week, it means that I am getting much more homepage time than I usually get… and that’s great for readership! It’s great for showing what I’ve got, where I’ve been, where I want to go, and sharing my general thoughts with those of you who are interested in hearing them.

And it’s great! But here’s the thing, I know that I’m not going to be putting out 4-5 posts a day next week… heck, I’ll be surprised if I put out 4 or 5 posts next week. And granted, for someone who doesn’t blog full-time, 4-5 posts per day probably isn’t a pace I can’t keep up with… at least not if I want to maintain some sense of quality.

Over the nearly two years I have been blogging now, I have gone from one post everyday Monday through Friday, to nothing for weeks, to a post here and there, to a more consistent once or twice-per-week, back to here and there, and now it seems that since January 2015 I have kind of settled in in that one to three posts per week range.

Honestly, I would love it if I could get back to the point where I am posting consistently once per day Monday through Friday, but I’m just not there yet. I’m still figuring out exactly what my niche is, what I want to do with my life, and working on a Master’s program. That plus all the travel I’ve been doing (and hope to continue doing!) keeps me very busy.

Don’t worry though, I’m not giving up! I’m going to stick with a goal of at least two posts per week this year. Some weeks I might not make it, but I’ll try to make up for it in other weeks.

I’m working on my endurance. I want to become a marathoner! …in the blogging sense, anyway…

And in all likelihood, I’ll keep sprinting during my featured weeks 🙂
